Troubleshooting

Why Is My Air Purifier Not Blowing Enough Air?

Weak airflow is usually caused by a clogged filter or a blocked intake/outlet:

  1. Check and Replace Filters
Dirty or clogged filters are the number one reason for a lack of air. Replace or clean filters as recommended in your owner’s manual.
  2. Adjust Your Fan Settings
Ensure the fan speed isn’t set too low. Try increasing it for more airflow.
  3. Obstructions
Check that nothing is blocking the air intake or outlet. Remove any dust or debris from vents and around the fan.
  4. Check the Fan
If the fan isn’t spinning freely, check for dust buildup or obstructions. Clean gently with a cloth as needed. If the fan or motor seems faulty, we recommend that you contact a technician for service.

Regular maintenance and filter changes will keep your air purifier running efficiently.

Why Isn’t My Air Purifier Turning On??

If your air purifier isn’t turning on, start with the basics:

  1. Check the Power Supply
Make sure your air purifier is plugged in securely and the outlet is working (try testing the outlet by plugging in another device).
  2. Examine the Power Cord
Inspect the cord for damage. If it’s frayed or broken, stop using the purifier and replace the cord.
  3. Check the Filter and Cover Placement
Many purifiers won’t operate if the filter or cover isn’t installed correctly. Double-check that all parts are seated properly. Check your owner’s manual for instructions.
  4. Reset or Power Cycle the Air Purifier
Try unplugging the unit for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

If it still won’t turn on, the issue could be internal, and you may need to contact a technician for service.

Why Isn’t My Dehumidifier Collecting Water?

If your dehumidifier is running but not collecting water, try these steps:

  1. Examine the Humidity Level
Check if the current room humidity is already low. Dehumidifiers won’t collect water if the air is already dry.
  2. Check the Settings
Ensure the unit is set to a humidity level lower than the current room humidity.
  3. Clean the Filter and Coils
Dirty filters or coils can block airflow and reduce performance. Clean gently with a damp cloth or replace filters and gently vacuum the coils if they are dusty.
  4. Check the Bucket or Float Switch
If the water bucket is full or not seated correctly, the unit may shut off. Empty the bucket and ensure it’s positioned properly.
